Quick Facts

We Are Wesleyan 1971-2024

Our roots date back to 1946, as Pilgrim Bible College, which eventually became Kernersville Wesleyan Academy. In 1981, Kernersville Wesleyan and Wesleyan Education Center merged to become Wesleyan Christian Academy, and in 1982, we celebrated our first senior class. We’ve been chanting “We Are Wesleyan” for over 50 years, and it is more than just a phrase—it’s a declaration of our identity and mission. It signifies that our foundation is rooted in Jesus Christ, and we find our true identity through Him. At Wesleyan, this commitment drives us to pursue and share God’s truth while providing an exceptional college-preparatory education within an intentionally Christian environment. As a school family, we stand united in our purpose, dedicated to nurturing our students’ hearts and minds.

For education to be meaningful, it must be based on truth. Wesleyan Christian Academy believes that all truth is God’s Truth, and His Truth is revealed through the Bible, which is infallible and is the standard for living a successful life. Only by recognizing God as the Creator, Designer, and Organizer of the universe can a proper understanding and mastery of facts and knowledge be possible.

Wesleyan Christian Academy believes that Christian education is a process in which teaching and learning are accomplished through developmentally appropriate activities by Christian teachers who encourage a high standard of academic excellence. We believe God’s Word is the highest authority and strive to bring all knowledge into a living relationship with His Truth.

Wesleyan Christian Academy is complimentary to the Christian home, providing opportunities within a traditional educational setting to integrate and nurture each student’s academic, spiritual, social, physical, and emotional development.

Wesleyan Christian Academy desires to produce individuals who will be productive and contributing members both in society and within the body of Christ, emanating a Christian worldview.
