Student Service

For you were called to be free brothers; only do not use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love. For the entire law is fulfilled in one statement: Love your neighbor as yourself.

Galatians 5: 13-14 (HCSB)

Student Service Opportunities

We are incredibly proud of how many Wesleyan students have responded to the needs of our local and extended communities. As a result, our Spiritual Life Office has received numerous service opportunities from families and community members eager to support the culture of service we are building at Wesleyan. To streamline our communication, please click the RED button below to access a “living” document of available service opportunities. This information is updated regularly.

The tabs below list service opportunities that Wesleyan students participate in regularly.

The last Friday of every month is spent with the Boys & Girls Club. During these monthly Fun Friday events, Wesleyan students get to encourage and inspire other students in our community through targeted programming that encourages academic success, good character and citizenship, and pursuing a healthy lifestyle.

Whether your high school student volunteers at Kirkland Elementary School, Montlieu Elementary School, or right here at Wesleyan Christian Academy, our Breakfast Buddies Program allows high school students to spend quality time with elementary children from all over our area. It’s a special time to form mentoring relationships, provide informal guidance, and spread the word of God.

Through our partnership with The 16 Cents Ministry, Wesleyan’s participation in Church Under The Bridge allows students from middle school and high school to serve the less fortunate in Greensboro, NC. While our middle school students carefully pack meals for the homeless in our area, our high school students, faculty, staff, and parents deliver those meals while bringing church, complete with praise music from our students and a sermon from Mr. Ayers, our Spiritual Life Director.

The Macedonia Family Resource Center in High Point provides a number of invaluable services to our larger community. Wesleyan Christian Academy students regularly partner with this organization by helping to fill their food pantry, participating in neighborhood clean-ups, donating to their area library, and assisting with the community garden.

Each year, our elementary students humbly participate in a heartwarming community service event called Operation Christmas Child. This special initiative allows our youngest learners to witness their faith in action as they gather essential personal supplies and thoughtful gifts for children in need within our community. Through their dedicated efforts, more than 300 boxes are lovingly collected and distributed annually, bringing joy and hope to countless local and international families.

The Triad Flight of Honor is a beloved Wesleyan tradition. Faculty, staff, parents, and students love participating in this event. Hosted throughout the year, the Triad Honor Flights pay tribute to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces by providing free transportation for “one last mission” – visiting the Washington D.C. war memorials. Wesleyan students participate annually by writing cards, cheering on the veterans as they arrive at PTI, singing anthems, and showing thanks for the immeasurable sacrifices our veterans have made.
