Early Education Center Expanding Half-Day Preschool for 2023-2024
As many of you know, this school year Wesleyan Christian Academy launched a pilot Half-Day Preschool Program with one Pre-K3/Pre-K4 class. Due to its great success and the increasing demand for similar programming, we are excited to announce that we are expanding our Half-Day Preschool Program to include a Pre-K2, Pre-K3 and a Pre-K4 Class for the 2023-2024 school year.
New to Wesleyan’s half-day offering will be a Lunch Buddy program. At each parent’s discretion, half-day Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 students will be able to stay after dismissal to eat a packed lunch from home and participate in additional activities until 2 p.m. for an additional fee. Parents may choose from a three-day or five-day Lunch Buddy option.
Early Education Center Director Amy McNeill states, “I am so pleased with how our Pilot Program has performed this year; much of the credit goes to Becky Charles, our Lead Teacher and to Heather Alston, the half-day Teacher’s Assistant. With the foundation they have built, we are thrilled to be able to offer our half-day preschool program to more families, providing yet another opportunity for little ones to grow and develop under the guidance of the loving teachers in Wesleyan’s Early Education Center.
In order to make this expansion a reality, the Lord very unexpectedly opened a door to partner with our across-the-street neighbor, Conrad Memorial Baptist Church (1920 North Centennial Street). Mrs. McNeill explains, “The growth of our program has been blessed by an incredible opportunity to partner with fellow believers at Conrad Memorial Baptist. We are excited to work together to build bridges to Jesus by sharing the power of His love with our littlest learners.”
Dr. David Ray, Wesleyan Christian Academy’s Head of School adds, “The elders of Conrad Memorial Baptist have been absolutely tremendous throughout this process. They are excited and fully committed to making this partnership a reality. We are grateful to them, to the congregation as a whole and stand in awe of how the Lord has worked out these details.”
We look forward to sharing more with you in the coming months. Until then, we encourage you to review the program overview below. If you or someone you know may be interested in this new program, they may visit our webpage to learn more, or call 336-884-3143 to schedule a tour.
