“There is no panic in heaven over the election!” – (Dr. Bill Brown)

Last week, Wesleyan faculty had the privilege of hearing from Dr. Bill Brown, former President of Bryan College and Cedarville University, and also Senior Fellow of Worldview and Culture at the Chuck Colson Center.

Dr. Brown is an exceptionally bright, seasoned, and articulate educator who zeroed in on how the Christian school community must now, more than in any time in American history, be excellent stewards and communicators in the noble task of equipping and mentoring our children. Wesleyan has long stood for teaching and articulating a reasonable and academic defense of our Judeo-Christian belief system.  This of course includes answering the “what” and “why” in any subject or cultural issue our children will inevitably face growing up in this society. Given stepped up attacks and legal defeats with religious liberty and expression, nearly all orthodox religious leaders today understand the critical point we see ourselves in during this particular election cycle.
